Brûlerie de l’Atlantique receives $66K for mfg. improvements

The Brûlerie de l'Atlantique (9229-3349 Québec Inc.) is a micro-roaster of organic certified fair-trade coffee, sourced from growers' cooperatives in Costa Rica, Mexico, Peru, Nicaragua and Guatemala, as well as Indonesia and Africa.

MATANE — Marie-Claude Bibeau, Minister of National Revenue, along with Diane Lebouthillier, Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, announced a repayable contribution of $66,000 for the Brûlerie de l’Atlantique. This CED support has enabled the business to acquire and install a piece of digitally controlled production equipment, an automated roaster, which will contribute to the growth of this SME.

The Brûlerie de l’Atlantique (9229-3349 Québec Inc.) is a micro-roaster of organic certified fair-trade coffee, sourced from growers’ cooperatives in Costa Rica, Mexico, Peru, Nicaragua and Guatemala, as well as Indonesia and Africa. Its main clients are bakeries, along with grocery stores, delicatessens, and specialized stores with specialty organic product departments. Acquiring this production equipment will enable the Matane business to expand and improve its production capacity.

That is why our government is committed to investing so that our SMEs remain competitive and innovative,” said Marie-Claude Bibeau, Minister of National Revenue.

In addition to helping us double our production capacity, this new equipment will be more energy efficient and enable us to reduce our environmental footprint throughout our manufacturing process,” said Mario Fournier, President, Brûlerie de l’Atlantique.
